Joe and Jeff were in one word “AMAZING”. Kind, friendly and helpful. They did an amazing job in what was a hectic day. Being a graphic designer myself I am very particular about the vision and Jeff and Joe captured our special day flawlessly. My husband and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome of our photos. They covered the whole day so well, we had no need for a videographer. Artistic and visionary….We love our wedding photos. – Natalie P.

Jeff and Joe were friendly and easy to work with. Everyone got along beautifully for the big day and the photos that were captured that day turned out perfect! I love the wedding book with the in readily unique cover. Highly recommended for anyone needing photography for their wedding! Big thanks to these guys for all they did for me! – Heather W.

I was once in your shoes. Theknot had spewed back tons and tons of photographers in my “local” area that I was meticulously reviewing and trying to decide which would be perfect for the big day. I came across Denash, and I don’t recall what exactly appealed to me, but somehow I found my way on his website. There I found quite a few photos that were just amazing! They didn’t seem like the typical wedding shots I found on other sites – his had more heart, more soul. So I called him up and scheduled a consultation. At our first meeting, Jeff immediately had us laughing right along with a crazy story from one of his past weddings. After going over options, looking at work samples, and just getting a great vibe with him, we hired Jeff and his assistant Joe for our big day. Prior to the wedding, we also scheduled an engagement photo session with Jeff to allow us all to get to know each other better. Now, I am not an easy subject to work with. I love taking pictures for a hobby, and I know it couldn’t have been easy to be Jeff that day, and to listen to me say for the ump-teenth time, “what if we…”. I have no idea how he wasn’t cringing by the end. But no, he had a smile on his face the whole time – oh, which went longer than the 2 hours we had scheduled. But that’s just the kind of photographer Jeff is – he loves what he does and he strives for perfection. And we got our photos back in 2 weeks! How awesome is that?! Along with the photos, Jeff also provided a letter in which he detailed the photo lab he suggests using and his favorite way to display a portrait. Jeff also came to the rehearsal – which I don’t think I’ve ever heard of another photographer doing. But he likes to do his homework and get a feel for the place – and that…is…awesome! Jeff and Joe showed up a few minutes early and got straight to work.

Joe, like Jeff, was just as laid back and full of good humor (but very punctual and kept us on schedule). While Joe was usually up on solid ground with us, Jeff was typically in the brush, laying on the ground, down in a ditch, standing in water – you name it. He did what he needed to do to get shots (including some that had been on my pinterest board – yes, they actually looked through the 12 pages I gave them a few weeks before!). And through it all, he kept a calm, easy, and professional demeanor. If I asked for a specific shot, he took it. By the end of the night, he checked with me to make sure there were no other shots I wanted before they took off. We got our pictures in about 2.5 weeks – and, no surprise, we LOVED them! In the course of the day, we ended up with 743 pictures. And, when I asked him about a specific shot I remembered that I didn’t see in the 743, he sent me that one too (as well as 5 others that he had made black & white that I wanted in color)! We hope Jeff & Joe remain in the business for a long, long time – because we’re going to need them to capture all the other milestones (like babies!) in the future!!!  – Shannon M.

Ok, let’s first establish that Jeff is an artist, first and foremost. As a non-artist, I didn’t really “get it”…until I got my pictures back. Holy smokes. My mom and I met Jeff beforehand to discuss, and he rambled on about photography, and again, I didn’t really care, so long as he showed up and did his job. Nor did I realize how much of the day you will spend with your photographer. You don’t want someone who is annoying or intrusive while you’re trying to soak it all in. If you want great pictures and a fun person to hang out with all day, Jeff is your guy. Jeff came to the rehearsal, which was very impressive. He gave his input and a few hints to the wedding party. Day-of, he and Joe did their thing, and provided suggestions to make my ideas work. They did a great job of staying out of the way while still capturing a lot of fun candid moments. I didn’t think I’d care about the getting ready pictures, but they are some of my favorites to look back on now. My only complaint is that sometimes Jeff got a little artsy, and between that and the hot, humid summer day, sometimes I just wanted to get back on the party bus and have a drink rather than capture another shot. But the pictures are seriously phenomenal, and Jeff knew exactly what he was doing. He made me feel calm and beautiful before the ceremony, he got the pictures to me within a few weeks, and I’ve gotten amazing compliments such as “that picture should be on the front of a magazine” or “I wish I lived in STL just so he could photograph my wedding” or “holy shit.” If you hire Jeff, which you should, make sure to go to the Arch. It’s a little cliche, but Jeff makes it look like a high-end photoshoot, and not like all of your friends silly Arch pics. To summarize: Jeff is the best in the area, for an unbeatable price, and he will make you look and feel like a rock star.  – Jess M.

Jeff photographed our destination wedding in the Dominican Republic. His work speaks for itself; his photos are absolutely incredible. Jeff is very laid-back and fun to work with. Our wedding day was the fastest day of our lives, but Jeff captured so many beautiful details that we would have otherwise missed! Many of our guests noted that he was one of the best photographers they’d ever seen. He is very elusive, we didn’t notice him snapping shots at all during the ceremony.  To us, photography was one of the most important elements of our wedding day and we couldn’t be happier with our decision.  – Mackenzie
